pocket fishing pole

The pocket fishing pole is one of coolest gadget to keep in your glove box

So although this has nothing to do with fly fishing I have always had a soft spot for a pocket fishing pole.  They are so neat to use and you can actually catch fish with them.  The 1st pocket fishing pole I have ever owned was one of those coleman pocket fishing poles that you see on tv.  I truely liked it even those it wasnt the best of quality.

Nothing is like driving past a river and wishing you brought your fly rod.  With this I keep a small pill container you buy at the dollar store for your Monday through Sunday pills and instead kept a few flies in it.  I have had most success when using flies with my spinning rods.

Now I have come across a new pocket fishing pole that I think is 10 times better than the Colman pole.  Its made by NGC and it works wonderful.  here are some specs on it.

When it is collapsed it is only 7" which is easy to fit into just about any glove box.

When extended it is 42".

It comes with a nice reel.  The only thing I suggest is that you put some better line on it.
Thats it just keep some flies with you or use some other lures you may have and go out and have fun. here is a link where you can buy this amazing pocket fishing pole.  You wont be disappointed.  And best of all.  They are on $25 for one or $19.95 for two or more pocket fishing poles
